Having visited Laos in March earlier this year, CISR Associate
Director Dr. Suzanne Fiederlein can also attest to the extent of the
mine and ERW contamination issue faced by the country. CISR remains
committed to helping the people of Laos address this threat and also
through our Senior Managers’ Course, conducted under a generous grant
from the Department of State’s Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement.
Laos was represented in five of eight past courses.
