In Syria, Another Sighting of a Complete SA-7 MANPADS.

More evidence that the Free Syrian Army is expanding its holdings of anti-aircract weapons, suggesting that the Syrian Air Force’s allotment of borrowed time grows shorter. (Though that does not mean it does not retain for now the capacity for extraordinary violence.)

The latest SA-7 sightings seem related to the capture of a Syrian military base. For an excellent round-up of MANPADS sightings, visit this newly updated post on the Brown Moses blog. (Don’t mind the Aug. 25 date at the top; the post was freshened today). For background, go here.
